Sega SC3000 Media Wanted. Tapes/Disks?

Postby Spannerz on Mon Jun 08, 2020 10:11 pm

Hello. I've pickup up a SC3000H and SF7000 Disc drive. This is one of the first computer memories I have, amazingly 30 or so years later here is one that still works.

I got a few cartridges with it, most importantly the 'Sega Basic' cartridge. The disk drive seems to work, spins and sounds OK? but I don't have any disks. I'm looking for ANY media for this, Disks, Cartridges or Cassette tapes. (Just missed a TM auction with a bunch of tapes...)

I've looked at sites like SC3000survivours (http://www.sc-3000.com/) looks defunct now in favor of sales for the Multicart (http://www.sc3000-multicart.com/). Carts aren't really what I'm after. SC3000Survivors is the only repository I can find for SC3000 and all their tape dumps are obscured or removed in some way, which means no soft media is available anymore.

I'm a cash buyer, open to trades or donations, or borrow and return options. I'd really like either a disk or tape with a program on it, but would be interested in tape encodings or even raw audio, blank CF2 3inch compatible floppies.

Thanks for reading.

Also interested in buying or trading any other Sega SC/SG1000/MK2 hardware or manuals or paperworx that came with this system.

A bloke I bought an NES from on Facebook recently has an SC3000 with a working cassette deck, a BASIC cart and one tape. He's wanting about $150.

eisa on Trademe. A lasting reminder of a Compaq fetish when I was younger.
