Commodore 1901 monitor view inside for those interested

Hello all. Years back a well used but well made Commodore 1901 monitor made a horrible zapping sound and magic smoke and due to moving about well just life it was put aside and not used. Since ive been looking at parts for my regulator project I thought damm I should get that monitor off the shelf and see what it was that popped inside it! I figured a cap of some sort. But when I looked the caps I could see looked ok if a bit dusty then I looked deep down the back of the board and spotted something ugly.. a squareish cap cracked on the side with brown grossness sprayed out the side. After trying to find the right service manual to pull the monitor apart and giving up trying to I carefully took the monitor apart and worked out the offending object was a "metal film safety capacitor". Looked online worked out what was needed etc but I can be impatient and thought hmm I have a bunch of ex plasma TV boards lets see whats on them. Haha. Found a safety cap that was a bit larger took that off the plasma board added some legs to it so it would fit the narrower holes on the 1901 board and poked it down carefully. The flyback board on the back of the tube had a couple of easy to reach caps there so i put some more preloved plasma caps there. Way over spec. I was confident of the caps as they were all Panasonic branded caps and tested ok. I love a recycle when I can fit it in. Some pictures below. Monitor working well .

Hello,
I have the same problem. CP01 burnt but I don't know how to slide out the PCB to access the capacitor and replace it.
In the third photograph we can see a piece of black plastic that holds the PCB. It can be removed from below the monitor but I wonder how to put it back, not so easy I think. How did you proceed?
Thanks for your help.
