Things you find in charity shops.

Went into town to do some work related stuff today and popped into a local charity shop. There I spied a DSE usb floppy drive in it's box.The DSE code is XH8291. I was expecting it to be one of those 1.44meg capacity only drives you keep hearing about. Plugged it into my XP box but in a 720k drive thinking it wouldn't read it but it did. Did a few file copying to from the desktop using the mice and it did it's thing. Opened a cmd prompt window and ran format. It instantly detected it was 720k disk and formated accordingly.

Needless to say for the small outlay and the fact the money went to charity I'm very happy with the purchase.

Nice find! I got mine for $5, but sadly it does not appreciate the finer features of a double density diskette.

Picked up a NextBook 7" tablet today for $40. Wish I'd done this months ago. Finding it very handy for researching purposes. Hasn't taken long to get use to at all.

That's pretty good value alright. Nice find.

I found an oscilloscope for $5, haven't put a plug on it yet, figured it'd be worth the gamble.

Indeed...I have a nextbook 7HD I got about 18 months ago from the warehouse for $199 and it's great.
