Great night! We ended up with some awesome hardware showcasing some of the best games from the 1980s 8bit computing era. Awesome to see radar and dsakey there with hardware - along with my own stuff.

The Vectrex and Sony MSX machines were pure gold in terms of novelty and cool - and I must say I was impressed with how bloody good the games for the ZX Spectrum are - and how that cheap little plastic box packs such a punch.

Of course the Apple II and C64 played their solid list of gaming titles - so it was enjoyable.

There are a few photos on my twitter account @mrad02 - but I'll post some here when I get a chance.

Really enjoyed last night, was great to meet more like minded enthusiasts and spend some time playing with some classic systems and talking retro.
Have to order one of the those dinky little C64 drives :)

Those without "SSD"s connected to their retro 8 bit machines. Here are a few links. (check them out for yourself - they have worked for me, but make sure they fit your needs first)

Commodore 64 SDCARD mini disk drive: http://www.sd2iec.co.uk/id4.html

Spectrum SD Card & Joystick: https://sites.google.com/site/interface1bis/home
Spectrum CF Card: http://lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=25

Apple II CF & USB: http://shop.dreher.net/

Sega SC-3000 Multicart: http://www.sc3000-multicart.com/

There are many options around - esp for the Spectrum.
