Atari 2600 custom carts?

Postby Clym5 on Sun Sep 28, 2014 12:23 pm

Hi all! I just recently got an Atari 2600 with one game, and a joystick. I was wondering what the usual method of getting a game from the internet running on a 2600 is, if any.

I've seen Atari 2600 multicarts on the web, modifications of existing carts, and cartridge PCBs with a removable EEPROM. Does anyone here have any experience with any of these?

The game I have is Missile Command, which is fun for a bit, but I wouldn't mind some Pitfall, or even trying to make my own. The 128b RAM limit sounds fun..
