Trademe eDay blowout - what did you get?

Postby gavo on Mon Sep 21, 2009 8:11 pm

I managed to score myself a IIe - yay!

I will still need to find a monitor for it, and sort out some kind of adaptor for my UniDisk (to Disk II controller) - but I guess thats all part of the fun. I'm hoping to pick it up on Wednesday.

Hope it works :)

Congrats! It's always fun after an e-day because suddenly a few interesting computers appear of Trade Me for $1 reserve.

I wonder who got the IBM 5150? Given it's apparent condition and the fact it was working, I think whoever won it got quite a bargin.

I think Apple IIes will just take a standard monochrome composite monitor, yes? Mind you, even those are not that common these days I guess. Or are you looking for a genuine Apple one for it?

Yeah, although not my thing, I was impressed at what a tidy looking example it was.

Yep - but your right, just finding an old composite monitor (let alone an apple one - which would be nice) will probably be a mission. I guess I might just have to plug it into my TV for now. Still, I'll just be happy if it works to start with :)

Just the "Everyone's A Wally" cassette game for the C64 :(

But do have fond memories of playing the song on the reverse side on the bus on the way to F2 School Camp. It was pretty cool.
