Old word processors

Postby manuka on Tue Dec 18, 2012 2:12 pm

Hi All,

We just received into work a bunch of portable, battery powered, word-processing keyboards there are 5 AlphaSmart Pro machines and 1 C.ITOH Studentwriter. There is a wikipedia entry about the AlphaSmart machines here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AlphaSmart#AlphaSmart_Pro but I have found no information about the C.ITOH machine, this one seems the more interesting of the machines with serial and parallel interfaces and a PCMCIA port.

I will post some pictures of the machines when I bring my camera into work, but I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these or similar machines - they seem to be aimed at the educational market.
molten_media on TradeMe, which is also my place of work. No particular interests apart from passing on some of the gems that come through the door.
