New to New Zealand Vintage Computers

Postby drine on Wed Apr 21, 2010 11:29 am

Hi there!!
I am a new member and just wanted to say HI!! I want to meet new people that share my interest in vintage computers and electronics.
Right now I have a Packard Bell, Model E153 that was my second computer. My first was an Atari 520 ST.(No longer have this one) :(
The other system I have is a IBM Model 5170 in which I want to restore as a nice project. I have been into computers sence college days back in the 1990's. I want to one day become a computer restorer just for the enjoyment. Thank you for allowing me to have some time this evening and sharing with you my love of computers!! Everyone, have a wonderful day!!!

Hello Daniel,

Always nice to see folk from overseas on these boards. I don't think too many Packard Bells were sold in NZ, but Amigas and some IBM ATs (5170) certainly were. Not that many of the latter though, as Asian clones were plentiful and 1/2 the price!
