Hello from Tauranga

Postby nzoomed on Sun Feb 28, 2016 9:31 pm

Hi everyone, ive just stumbled across this forum and i have an interest in vintage computers, so have joined.
Mainly 386 / 486 systems im interested in building, but also am looking at early 8 bit and 16 bit systems such as 8088 / 8086, 286 etc.

I also wouldnt mind getting a commodore 64 to go with an old national quintrix in the future also to put in my man cave.

Alot of the pre-mid 90's machines are a bit before my time so i will be asking a few questions on the forums about MFM /RLL drives and controllers etc.
Also alot of vintage hardware and chips seem to have little information on the net about them so hopefully people will be able to help me with my items of interest.

Look forward to everyone's input :)

Welcome aboard. As you can probably already tell, I collect and repair a lot of PCs myself - 8088 right up to P3 - and it's hard to shut me up about old hard drives.
