It seems I've been out of touch with the Vintage Computing scene for too long, I hadn't realised there was a forum available until I got Terrys email today.
Anyway, to the introduction, I've been collecting computers since I was 16 or 17 which would mean I've been doing this for nigh on 17 years now, although I've had my efforts curtailed somewhat by the births of my three daughters over the last 5 years. I started out in computing on the Commodore 64 but my first 'collection' piece would have been my Commodore 4016, from their I basically collected any available computer that caught my interested until a lack of storage space taught me to be a little more selective.
At this time I still have a number of home systems from Amstrad, Apple, Atari, Commodore, Sinclair, Spectravideo plus various vintage business systems, mostly CP/M based, various PDA systems and games consoles from the early 80's onwards.
The plan is to reduce my collection somewhat and focus on a few systems rather than many, hopefully using using the proceeds of what I get for the systems I'm parting with to fund a few extra systems that I've been hanging out for. In theory this should also free up some space for having more that one system setup for use at any one time.
